Solution Icon Design Guidelines

This page describes the guidelines for creating icons for your solution listing on the Solution Exchange.

Attributes

• Final overall size: 110 x 110 px:
  • The inside live area should be the following:
    • Square is 98 x 98 px
    • Rectangular should be no longer than 104 px in one direction.
    • Circular should be 104 x 104 px.
  • Following these will help create an optical balance to the icons as different shapes occupy different spaces.
• Format: PNG (save as a transparent PNG) and SVG
• Color space: RGB
• Max file size: 10KB
• Shape: Full square
• Border margin: Transparent or white

The total asset size is 110 x 110 px, and the product icon’s live area is no larger than 104 x 104 px. See specific sizes above.

Guidelines

Do not use text or graphic elements to indicate:

• Ranking,
• Awards,
• Incentives, or to promote any deals.

You should keep in mind that the “keep it simple” principle should apply and will work best in most cases as you—or someone you have hired—create your icon. Try not to overcomplicate it and add too much.

Tools

Several tools are available to create your icons. Simple and straightforward tools like Canva (which has a free plan) or Figma (which also has a free plan) are good choices.
