FVA-SV009-XPFv4.0.1-PV900 Release Notes

Author: Kelly Reed, Created: 2025-06-30

Release Date: June 30, 2025

Release Overview

  • This new version of FVA transitions from the concept of Snapshots to Blueprints. In order to create a Blueprint, a user will now be taken through a Dialog Workflow of multiple steps which differs from the single screen used to create a Snapshot in the old version.

  • There is also the additional concept of Views. After creating a Blueprint, it will not show up as a View in the Views page. You must create a new View and point it to a Blueprint as its data source.

  • Each Snapshot currently created in the environment will be recreated as both a Blueprint and a View. With the new dynamic cube capabilities that allow dynamic metric evaluation at different levels of target/time granularities, most Snapshots will inherently become deprecated and may introduce clean-up efforts of unnecessary Blueprints and Views.

Read Before Install

On initial install and launch, a Cube and related Dimensions will be created in the application under the following names: FVA_Cube, FVA_Entity, FVA_Scenario, FVA_Account, FVA_Flow, FVA_UD1-8. These items require no consultant enablement procedures or ongoing maintenance, but customers may notice and inquire on these new metadata items.
